Chip Booth:  mandolin, banjo, guitar, vocals

Chip  moved to Idaho's Wood River Valley in the summer of   2002 after spending most of his life in South Carolina.  He has been playing and performing since the age of 13, usually as a guitarist.  He spent 10 years traveling and performing with Spoonful,Grateful Dead tribute band, and 4 years as lead guitarist for The Ultraviolets, an original roots rock group produced by Hootie and the Blowfish manager and producer Dick Hodgin.   In 2000 Chip moved to Atlanta GA where he spent 2 years performing on upright bass with Brian Ashley Jones.  Ultimately a desire to leave the big city led him to move to  the mountains of Idaho where, ironically, he began to study the history of bluegrass and learn the mandolin.  All those wasted years in the Southeast!

Chip also performs on mandolin and guitar with the Kim Stocking Band, the Bruce Innes Band, and on guitar and bass with other Wood River Valley groups as the need arises.

Chip just released his first CD as a solo artist, a combination of vocal songs and traditional instrumentals titled Nobody Wants You.
